    Abstract
The basic indices of any industrial machine are the productivity rate and quality of products. Indices of productivity are related to the theory of reliability, and the theory of efficiency of machines. Indices of reliability of industrial machines with complex designs have not been represented in equations of the productivity rate. The main index of reliability of any industrial machine is its availability. Equations of the productivity rate of machines should include the availability, which is the integrated index of reliability of machines. This paper develops analytical equations of the productivity and availability of automated lines as a function of indices of reliability, structural and technical parameters of lines. The equations allow the output of the automated lines to be modeled and their structures to be defined according to the level of productivity and availability.
