Android based NFC & face recognition security system at airport
Abstract
Smartphone are no more just something which look good in your hands and let you check your emails and browse internet all the time. They hold more computing power than computers these days. Moreover, with technologies like NFC or Near Field Communication, your smartphone can also replace your wallet.NFC is wonderful utility which is based on three pillars like pairing, sharing and transaction. NFC is a revolution in the modern technology world which can transform the tech-driven life in coming days. This system is build up for the use in the airport. It is function for airport check-ins that going to change the way we travelwhich allow travellers to check-in to flights with our phones. A passenger using an NFC-enable device can be processes faster than any of the current boarding processes available today. This concept demonstrates how “tap and check-in” and “tap and board” services could be used to make passenger journey through the airport smoother and shows NFC phones being used to open security, airlines lounge and boarding gates automatically. About the face recognition, OpenCV is combined with the embedded camera in the Raspberry Pi. OpenCV is an open-source library for real time processing, and is used in applications like gesture mapping, motion tracking and facial recognition. The Raspberry Pi camera board is a better fir for the device, with a much higher frame rate and better resolution.
