An implementation of controller and observer for pittman 8692 brush dc motor
Abstract
The project focused on DC motor position control system. The main objective is to implement controller and observer for Pittman 8692 rush DC motor, where several controller designs with state-space approaches have been applied. Types of controller proposed in this thesis are state-feedback controller, state-feedback controller with feed-forward gain, integral controller and linear quadratic regulator. The controllers have been designed using Mathcad 14 software and the system is simulated using MATLAB software to analyze their initial performance. Simulation is implemented to compare the results between the original and all proposed controller system to choose the suitable controller for the system. The performance of the system is analyzed in terms of overshoot, time response and steady-state error.
