The polymer composites of polypropylene (PP)/ethylene propylene diene terpolymer (EPDM) and paper sludge (PS) were prepared with and without of maleic anhydride. The insitu grafting was performed from PP/EPDM and paper sludge with maleic anhydride. The results show that the maleic anhydride improved the tensile strength and Young’s modulus but reduces the elongation at break. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) of the tensile fracture surface of the composites indicates that the maleic anhydride increase the interfacial interaction between filler and matrix.
