The present paper has been investigated the ratchetting rates for a series of fibre glass reinforced epoxy (FRGE) pressurised piping when subjected to simulated seismic axial strain using ABAQUS. The investigations have been performed to determine the combination value of the internal pressure and cyclic axial displacement to initiate ratchetting in the FGRE straight pipe. Following well-established simulation work, a value of combination loads necessary for the accurate prediction of the onset of ratchetting has been established On the other hand, the model closely simulated the experimental results for combination 0.5Py constant internal pressure and ± 1% of cyclic axial strain.
