dc.description.abstract | This project is to design a set of light sensors to measure the light intensity and display the sensor that has the highest intensity by using LCD. These light sensors (7 light sensors) are mounted in a honeycomb and each light sensor will giving analog output while explored to the light (source). Light can be explored on the light sensors in different angle or any direction; the output will change according to the direction of the light. Connecting ADC(Analog to Digital Converter) to each light sensor is necessary to get digital output. Digital signal from the ADC will be processed in a UP3 board. Programming using VHDL code is developed to find the highest intensity among the sensors. Another program is also done for initializing the LCD and display the result on the LCD. Then the combined software and hardware is assigned to the pin of the UP3 board. The sensors that have the highest intensity should be displayed on the LCD. This project is deeming viable for equipments that requires light intensity as input. Solar panel is a suitable example. | en_US |
