Biomechanical analysis of the lower limb segments in the load carriage dynamics of Malaysian primary school children walking performance
Abstract
The objective of the paper is to investigate biomechanically the effects of loads carriage dynamics on the lower limb segments for Malaysian school children while level walking Two subjects were chosen and asked to walk on a track about 8 meters length for few times at their natural cadence for four complete cycles, each with loads 0 %, 10 %, and 20 % of their body weight. The walking activity was recorded using the Motion Analysis System with six infrared and high speed cameras at 200 Hz. The results showed that the main effect of increasing the load carriage on joint kinematics is found at the
pelvis and hip.
