dc.description.abstract | The main purpose of this flyback converter is to design a switching power supply. It is
an iterative process which involves many variables that have to be adjusted in order to
obtain an optimized solution. However, there are trade-offs which allow for a simple
low cost, low component, single sided board design method. And the specification for
the converter is 85-265V, 50Hz input voltage to 5V and 2A output. On the other hands,
the design process is in relation established formula. Moreover, the project is primary a
hardware based. However PSIM software will be used as a simulation tool to simulate
output voltage and current so that can ensure the circuit is working with the specific
output. Beside that, the ORCAD software is also used to draw the schematic circuit, and
then doing the layout for the use of printed circuit board (PCB). The oscilloscope is also
use to see the output voltage waveform and then save the related result in the flash
compatible card for the use of the report discussion. Multimeter is also used to measure
the voltage and current and those measure value will be used to discuss in the report. | en_US |
