    Abstract
A Planar Inverted-F Antenna (PIFA) for pacemaker system is proposed. The most familiar pacemaker implantation is for heart surgery. It is a device that placed in the chest or abdomen and function as to control abnormal heart rhythms. The transmitter is the antenna and operates at 2.45 GHz and 5.8 GHz resonant frequencies. It wirelessly performs transmitting signals such as the rhythm of the cardiac heartbeat and collect capable information from an antenna that implanted in the human body. Simulated and measured results have validated that PIFA antenna with frequency of 2.45 GHZ and 5.8 GHz is capable with an average gain of 6.401 dB and 8.610 dB. Both antenna’s have high capability for transmitting data wirelessly for medical implantation and have a high radiation efficiency for both frequencies with a value of 90.84% and 96.48%.
