dc.description.abstract | The study is about evaporation rate of sandy soil mixed with rice residues. The rice residues used are rice husk ash, rice straw and rice husk. The rice residues used to limit the rate of water loss that occur to the bare soil and the farmer does not to water their crops for many times. The objectives of this study are to investigates the retain effect used three different ratio such as rice husk ash, rice straw and rice husk, to investigate water loss for 3 different types of residues using evaporation method and to compare the ability to retain water between the treatments and to select the best optimum ratio that retain water through evaporation. The evaporation method use with different ratio that is 0 %( control), 10%, 20% and 30%, the evaporation method used 24 pots as the substance in this study. The study showed that. The rice straw at 30% ratio more retains water that 30% of rice husk ash and rice husk. So, the farmer can used rice straw for farming to avoid water from loss from the sandy soil through the evaporation. | en_US |
