Evaluation of cooling system for fish tank storage in aspect of cooling coil
Abstract
Modeling of designated cooling box simulation was important in order to study the performance of the designated cooling box for fish tank storage in the aspect of cooling coil. In order to improve the cooling system of designated cooling box, the result would lead to new improvement in coil design. For this research, Computational Fluid Dynamic, CFD simulation of SOLIDWORKS software was used based on Finite Volume Method, FVM analysis. The simulation has been successfully used to remodel the designated cooling box with the structure of its cooling coil. The goal for the study is to evaluate the performance of the designated cooling box, selecting the material used for cooling coil and analyzing the performance of the cooling coil by varying the length of cooling coil in the system. Modeling simulation was based on the actual scale of the designated cooling box for the fish tank storage. The simulation has been conducted under its boundary condition such as temperature of the water, air, inlet temperature for refrigerant, type of refrigerant as well as mass flow rate of the refrigerant. As conclusion, based on the results from the simulation process, the performance of the designated cooling box had been verified, while copper was selected as the material suitable for cooling coil and the performance regarding the length of cooling coil had been observed.
