dc.description.abstract | Since oil is expected to last until 2025, the other alternatives should be finding
so that this problems can be settle and discover new resources. Bioethanol is the one
of renewable sources that can be used as a transportation fuel to cover the petroleum
demand. Cassava is one of the materials that can produce biofuel as an alternatine
energy sources. The production of bioethanol by using cassava was done by using the
10L bioreactor of ethanol production rig. The bioethanol production is produced
throughout the fermentation process by using the Saccharomyces cerevisae and with
the different of enzyme and inoculums concentration. The highest glucose production
was obtained by using the 30% starch slurry. For the highest ethanol produced is by
using the 0.25% α-amylase and 0.15% amyloglucosidase. For fermentation condition,
30% slurry is fixed to get better glucose consumption by S.cerevisae. However, the 15
% inoculum was considered adequate for the conversion of glucose to ethanol when
the concentration of slurry used is 30%. | en_US |
