Design a biofidelic dummy neck for crashworthiness application
Abstract
This project present designs a biofidelic dummy neck for crashworthiness application. The
project is focused on simulate a neck response during a test in flexion or extension condition. The
data such as total weight, length, and head circumference were taken from several sources
including a newborns in the hospital Kangar. The neck model that we develop consists of rigid,
geometrically accurate vertebrae held together with disk and connected with the load cells at the
upper and lower neck. The function of this load cell that we used will convert a force into
electric signal. The result that we get from experimental will be compared to the other simulation
result.
