The project undertaken was to measure the efficiency of small antennas. There are two kind of method used to measure the efficiency of the small antennas such as “Wheeler Cap” method and “Directivity/Gain” method. Each of these methods is to measure the efficiency for different kind of antennas. Several kind of small antennas were designed. They are monopole antenna, monopole antenna with 20 Ω resistor, monopole antenna with 3dB attenuator and microstrip square patch antenna. The small antennas were designed to operate at 2.45GHz. The efficiency of these antennas was measured using above methods mentioned and the results for each method were compared.en_US
