dc.description.abstract | Nowadays, there are so many methods to step-down a voltage. This project is mainly based on software and hardware which contains a learning course on Power Electronic such as power converter, transformer and other equivalent components. This project needs to use software called PSIM for designing and modeling purposes. Particularly, the emphasis is given on how to design a step down voltage using ‘Forward Converter’ topology with required software. This paper presents practical design guidelines for forward converter employing PWM (pulse width modulation) integrated circuit (UC3854) .A 20W, 5V at 4A, step-down regulator can be developed using the integrated circuit (UC3854) in a forward converter topology. Therefore, this study was performed to study how far the forward converter topology can be used in designing a step down voltage circuit. At the end of this study, know that the forward converter topology was successfully matched in order to design a step down voltage circuit. It has been proven through software simulation method and the hardware testing method which have been conducted in order to verify with the theory result. | en_US |
