This study represent an educate analysis of seismic activity of vertical component to observe and study the pattern of response of the building toward the vertical component ground motion. Four frame structure were design where two difference practice of design that is earthquake design and gravity design practice and each practice contain two type of design that is regular RC building and irregular RC building and 10 ground motion were selected. The ground motion were selection of the strongest ground motion .From the result shown that the irregular RC building with earthquake design were the lowest value in interstories drift and axial force make the structure the most stable among all proving that the earthquake design were practicable for earthquake region. This study also show the pattern of interstories drift and axial force for all the structure including comparison of horizontal with horizontal plus vertical ground motion for each structure frame. in this study also mentioning and comparing with previous study to compare the response to make the study more concrete to prove the result obtain.en_US
