This project is to design a RFID tag antenna which operates in UHF frequency band in Malaysia between 919MHz to 921MHz. The design of the proposed tag antenna included meandering technique and T-matched network using a planar dipole antenna. The overall dimension of the antenna is 42 x 48 x 0.787 mm3. The tag is composed of copper layer traces and Rogers RT5880 substrate with the relative permittivity of 2.2. The performance of the proposed tag antenna was analyzed in terms of matched impedance, return loss, VSWR and antenna gain through Computer Simulation Technology (CST) Microwave Studio simulation software. The meandered t-matched planar dipole antenna resonates at 921MHz frequency and has a return loss of -27.17dB, with a gain of 1.068dB and directivity of 1.771dBi. This type of antenna has an efficiency of 85%. On the other hand, the result from this research is useful to be implemented in the RFID industry for today‟s technology.en_US
