Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a wireless network that uses multi-hop peer-to-peer routing instead of static network infrastructure to provide network connectivity. One of the important consideration is the topology of the network. However, topology imposes several constraints on the amount of data that can be transmitted through the network, which leads to effects on the network’s overall performance. In this dissertation, a MANET scenario is design and modelled to evaluate and analyze the effects of topology on the performance of this type of network. Three different types of configurations includes single line, double line and grid topology, were considered and the evaluation is done for different performance metrics and under different network environments. To conclude, grid topology performs better in network compared to single line and double line topology.en_US
