    Abstract
This paper report result of a study on effect of hydrogen sulfide emission at landfill towards resident and landfill worker perception on odor and health quality. The first objective are to investigate the emission of hydrogen sulfide concentration at landfill. Second objective is to evaluate the respondents perception on health condition and landfill management Third objectives is to investigate the perception of respondents towards odor and aesthetic from landfill based on different distance towards landfill site. Hydrogen sulfide is a colourless, flammable, extremely hazardous gas with a “rotten egg” smell. It give health effect to human if expose at higher concentration. However, with continuous low-level exposure, a person loses his/her ability to smell the gas even though it is still present of called olfactory fatigue. The chosen location of landfill site is at landfill Padang Siding, Perlis, Malaysia. The gas analyzer that using here is GEM 5000. First step is collecting the data of hydrogen sulfide concentration at site. There are 3 location points selected at the landfill site. This data were collected for 7 days. At one day, the data was collected at 8.00 am, 12.00 pm and 5.00 pm. Later the trend for concentration of hydrogen sulfide by each days in a week. Then there are 50 respondents involve with this questionnaire which is 20 from them is a landfill worker and 30 is from nearer residents. The second objective to evaluate the respondent perception on health condition and landfill management and third objective is to investigate the perception of respondent towards odour and aesthetic form landfill based on different distance toward landfill site This questionnaire were shown the data using descriptive analysis and mean reference.
