dc.description.abstract | NFC is a revolution in the modern technology world which can transform the techdriven
life in coming days. This system is build up specifically for the use in the airport
check-ins and this is going to change the way people travel allowing traveller to check-ins to flights with their own smartphones. A passengers using this NFC-enabled combined with OpenCV face recognition controlled by Raspberry Pi device can be processes faster than any of the current boarding processes available today. This concept paper will
demonstrated how "tap and check in" and "tap and board" services could be used to make a
passenger journey through the airport smoother and reflects how NFC smartphone being
used to open security airlines lounge and boarding gates automatically. OpenCV and
Raspberry Pi are used here as these platform provide an open-source library for real-time
image processing, and is used in applications like gesture mapping, motion tracking and
facial recognition. The Raspberry Pi onboard camera is a better fit for the device, with a
much higher frame rate and better resolution. | en_US |
