dc.description.abstract | This final year project is about design, develop and analysis a peak current control boost AC-DC converter. This project is covered from simulation and prototype implementation. Theoretically, it is base on boost converter and it was controlled by
using peak current control method. Peak current controls have been used as a method to implement power factor correction (PFC). This boost converter utilised a commercial
peak current control integrated circuit (IC) as a simple and low cost controller circuit.
The designing process is by using the OrCAD 9.1 and Psim. Then to get the perfect
prototype with good performance, the designed boost converter has been developed with some modification. These improvements have been done to achieve the DC output with
high efficiency. Analyses have been done to analyze the performance of the circuit.
Result from the lab experimental and simulation have been compared. Finding of the
project have been discussed in details. | en_US |
