dc.description.abstract | Unnecessary movement of workers is one of the seven sources of waste. This project was conducted in order to reduce unnecessary movement during the production of 2in1 Green coffee by applying Value Stream Mapping at the coffee maker company. This project will focus in the packaging area where unnecessary movement occur during the packaging process. The flow of process during packaging is observed and is recorded in the current Value Stream Mapping. Based on the observation, the problem regarding the unnecessary movement of workers is identified. In order to eliminate this waste, PDCA
cycle is used to perform step by step project methodology. The improvement will be done in the packaging area and the data is recorded in the future Value Stream Mapping. The improvement is done by applying Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S and Visual System in the packaging area of the coffee maker company. This project will reduce and eliminate the unnecessary movement of the workers and increase company profits. | en_US |
