    Abstract
The material use in this project was nano-Co-HA. The materials were prepared by process of electroless deposition and powder metallurgy to produce nano-Co-HA. Nano- Co-HA and HA were compacted by 20 tons shop press into pellet shape. Each of eight pellet which four pellets nano-Co-HA and four pellets of HA experienced sinter with different sintering temperature which are 1150˚C, 1200˚C, 1250˚C and 1300˚C. Constant soaking time which is 90 minutes was used. The pellets were observed by using morphology analysis Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) to study its metallographic after sinter. HA and nano-Co-HA was analyzes by using phase analysis X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) that show different phases at different sintering temperature. Nano- Co-HA has been successfully fabricated by electroless deposition as peaks of cobalt appear in XRD result and also in SEM observation. However, the only temperature that cobalt exist can be shown in SEM was at temperature 1250˚C. Furthermore, based on the result obtained, different sintering temperature does affect properties of HA and nano-Co-HA. As temperature increase, porosity of HA and nano-Co-HA decreases as shown on SEM observations. In addition, it also can be shown in microstructure of HA and nano-Co-HA that it become denser due to less pores and large grain size as temperature increases. Shrinkage of HA and nano-Co-HA also affected by the increasing of sintering temperature. From overall result, it can be conclude that the best temperature to show existence of cobalt in nano-Co-HA is at 1250˚C because at 1300˚C HA is decomposed and no peaks for HA found in XRD analysis.
